Fire Carnivals
For decades, the Volunteer Fire Departments of Carroll County Maryland have counted on local communities and carnivals to provide revenue to support and purchase equipment.  Every year, a dozen carnivals bring fun and entertainment to the rural communities of Carroll County.  From May through August residents and visitors enjoy fun and recreation while supporting the tireless efforts of their volunteer Fire Fighters-EMS & Support Staff.  Contact your local department for more information.

Located in northern Carroll County, the nature center provides an environmental  for educators, visitors and groups, focusing on native plant and animal life.  The center features a library, bird observation, exhibit hall Native American, and conservation exhibits.  Forty seat planitarium and a nature gift shop.  Outside center allows enjoyment of native plants, landscape, and the wheel chair accessible trail called "Bear Path."
